Just got back to the Wharf! Hungry! Tired! But wow! What a beautiful day!

Updates soon!

Tuesday 15th Sep
I know I haven't updated since my walk, it took a lot out of me and I had to rest for 2 days. Although the pain was in a different area of my body. The walk was a success and I completed it just before Suzanne Vega's show! I may do a post later on to catch everyone up from the 10th. Will be posting a picture from today! As I visited Rangitoto Island!

Auckland, New Zealand @ Practical Magic 2 @ The Movies @ WSPD Walk Preparations!

Wednesday 9th Sep
I had like almost 10 hours of sleep! Thank goodness! However it took me almost the entire day to have anything so as typical of me, I skipped breakfast and lunch, oh and I guess dinner also, but I did manage to have something. I went and saw Practical Magic 2 tonight and it was a very good film! I have now seen three films while in Auckland! I also did some meal prepping and earlier downloaded some of my fave tracks and spent a good while sorting out my plans for my walk for World Suicide Prevention Day! I am walking a total of 81 thousand steps in one day. I call this my 'Life Number 9' walk, where I walk 9 thousand steps 9 times to honour the nine lives lost to suicide every day in Australia for Lifeline's Out of the Shadows Walk. When my walk is complete, and depending on whether or not I have it in me to break my step count record or not, I will be prioritising a lot of self-care! And will make sure to shower during the walk, if there is time. I am very excited for the walk but also more excited for Suzanne Vega live at Town Hall here in Auckland tomorrow night! Music saves me so I am so thankful I have a live music event on!

Auckland, New Zealand @ Arataki Visitor Centre, Forest Walk & Pahi Beach

Tuesday 8th Sep
Last night, I looked into a tour to get me to go to Pahi Beach, as it is a definitely must do in New Zealand, and there is no way to get there by public transport. And I liked the idea of a tour for my first visit, (yes, I would like to revisit it again one day, for longer, and for sunset) anyway booked this tour last minute. It was so lovely to have the tour guides take us to the Arataki Visitor Centre, where I got some gifts and then we went for a forest walk after. We also had a stop to go to The Mill Bakehouse, and grab a few things. We also stopped to get cool photos with Piha Beach in the background. Our forest walk was @ Kitekite Falls, (yes, another place I would revist to see more of and spend more time in) it was so beautiful and we saw a pigeon. We made our way to Piha Beach, which was absolutely stunning and I really do want to see it for a sunset, one day... anyway, it was an epic day. We shared cups of tea and Anzac Biscuits and had a relaxing travel back to Auckland.

Piha Beach! ❤️

Tuesday 8th Sep
This is me visiting Piha Beach in New Zealand! And holding my seagull plush, Bird's Eye Chilli! Piha Beach was amazing. It is a must visit when in NZ!!

Auckland, New Zealand @ Resting, Bookings

Monday 7th Sep
Today was not a day at all for me to do anything, at all. But saying not doing anything, at all, wouldn't be the truth. I was resting, sleeping. Once I got back from my tour, I had it in my head I would go to Woolworths after and get myself something for dinner. Turned out since my medication and as well as being up so early and doing so so much in one day yesterday, it was just more important that I rest and yeah slept in for most of the day today. But I did have some noodles and cereal before bed last night. Today I slept, then eventually had something to eat, went to Woolworths again so I can make myself a very nice fulling breakfast tomorrow, (cheese and egg muffins, a cup of tea, strawberry yogurt and a banana!) for you see tomorrow is a happy day: I booked a tour to experience Piha Beach!
And also tonight I've secured a ferry return booking for Rangitoto Island on the 15th September! I dunno what I am more excited about, the tour, and other things coming up or making breakfast! 🤣

Auckland, New Zealand @ Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves! - Sunday 6th September

Monday 7th Sep
Auckland, New Zealand @ Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves!

Sunday 6th September

I waited for the Yellow Mercedes to rock up @ 6:20am by the SkyCity Hotel (did not get much sleep!) and have my tour guide take us all the way to Matamata! For the Hobbiton Tour. I explored, met a lot of people. Made a lot of content. Even fell over at one point! Good fun!! I enjoyed a ginger beer @ The Green Dragon Inn.
Hobbiton was cool... but the magic happened when I got to sing in the Waitomo Caves in the Cathedral to everyone on that tour!
I sang one of my favourite songs, Wise Enough, by Lamb:
I had a dream that all of time was running dry
And life was like a comet falling from the sky
I woke so frightened in the dawning, oh, so clear
How precious is the time we have here

Are we not wise enough to give all we are
Surely we're bright enough to outshine the stars
But human kind gets so lost in finding its way
But we have a chance to make a difference til our dying day

It was truly magical, and then seeing the Gloworms after by boat... woah. I got to see how they have food, I often read the detailed information at the campground in Bundanoon on them, as I looked down I felt a drop of water drop down onto the back of my hair. Very lucky! Cave Kiss! But I saw it with my own eyes, it was no longer just writing or pictures on a board at Gambells Rest campground. I couldn't breathe at some points on the boat, viewing the Gloworms due to everything being so utterly breathtaking. And singing in the Waitomo Caves? It was a great honour.

Auckland, New Zealand @ Chill Day Sleep In, Shopping & Albert Park @ Night

Saturday 5th Sep
Friday 4th September

I visited the Auckland War Memorial Museum, had a tour, took some photos and stopped and looked at and read all the wildlife photos they had on display in the galleries. I then went to have dinner, went back to accommodation, got ready for my first ever live music event, which was Jack Gray (Australian Music Artist) @ The Tuning Fork. I went back to accommodation and slept in.

Auckland, New Zealand @ Chill Day Sleep In, Shopping & Albert Park @ Night

Saturday 5th September

I got up quite late today. I had a late shower. Late breakfast. Late lunch. Did some shopping to prepare for when I possibly do camping. I went for a nice night walk to Albert Park. I am gonna have some cereal before bed, I may not get much sleep as I have Hobbiton tomorrow and I am so excited for it! Adventure time!

Auckland, New Zealand @ Sky Tower & a Movie

Thursday 3rd Sep
Wednesday 2nd Sep

On Wednesday, I left my accommodation slightly late, and still got myself all on my own to Mangere Mountain with connecting buses. I had a wonderful time witnessing nature at its finest, it is so hard to believe that is what I am seeing and the sunset was magical. Very beautiful. It has meaning to me, a filming location from something I loved watching, but was not expecting such an amazing experience. I took many photos and videos there.

Auckland, New Zealand @ Sky Tower & a Movie

Thursday 3rd Sep

I had a good sleep in. I had other ideas but just needed rest. So I eventually got out after a late breakfast/lunch, I walked to Sky Tower, which is close to my accommodation, I had coffee and food. I played Pokemon GO. I chatted with people. I got photos. Videos. Content. The binoculars were cool, they zoom super far and close! So cool! Then I saw Fall 2: Deadpoint, (very appropriate film after having been up quite high!) Enjoyed my time at the cinema again. My first movie at Event Cinemas Queen St was Insidious: Out of the Further! I get to watch Practical Magic 2 just one day for my Out of the Shadows Walk and going to Suzanne Vega right after! Tomorrow will be an early one and I'll update about the excitement then!

Auckland, New Zealand & Time @ Mount Eden!

Tuesday 1st Sep

Now back at my accommodation. I landed yesterday. I have a lot to check out!
