How it works

30 minutes for 30 days.

Stride Outside is a free, fun challenge for everyone

Take 30 minutes a day engaging in outdoor activities you love for 30 days. You can take 30 in the morning, noon or night. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a swim at the beach, or relaxing in your garden, the choice is yours. You'll be reaping the benefits of spending time in the outdoors and raising vital funds for mental health services.

Benefits of spending time outside

There's plenty of global research about the physical and mental benefits of being outdoors. This research highlights the relationship between connecting with nature and the outside world with improved wellbeing. Broadly these findings include:
  • reduced levels of stress
  • reduced symptoms of depression, and
  • improved emotional wellbeing.
