Stride Outside is a free, fun challenge for everyone

Take 30 minutes a day doing outdoor activities that you love. You can take 30 morning, noon and night. Whether is a walk in the park, swim at the beach or reading in your garden, the choice is yours. You'll reap the benefits of connecting with the outdoors and raise vital funds for mental health services.

Register

Take 30 minutes outside every day throughout September. Register solo or get a team together.

Share

Start fundraising and share your page. Invite your friends and family to join you in the Take 30 challenge.

Step outside

Go outside and do something you enjoy for 30 minutes throughout September. Choose your own activities.

Stride Outside

30 minutes outside. 30 days straight. Switching off from your busy life and connecting with the blue and green around you. Give it a go and see the difference you make. For yourself, and someone else.

Feel better

Enjoy the mental and physical benefits of being outdoors like enhancing your mood and reducing your stress.

Benefits of spending time outside

There's plenty of global research about the physical and mental benefits of being outdoors. This research highlights the relationship between connecting with nature and the outside world with improved wellbeing. Broadly these findings include:
  • reduced levels of stress
  • reduced symptoms of depression, and
  • improved emotional wellbeing.

Outside activity ideas

It's not about fitness. It's about being intentional with your 30 minutes and taking time for yourself to spend outside.
Once you've registered for the challenge, you can login to your dashboard and add in your daily Take 30 activity in the activity tracker.

Go for a walk before work or on your lunch break.
